Kartesia’s Fund III wins its second award this year with AltCredit Intelligence European Performance Award for “Direct Lending Fund”
Kartesia, the European specialist provider of capital solutions for small and mid-sized companies, is honoured to receive a prestigious award from AltCredit Intelligence at its annual European Performance Awards for best Direct Lending Fund. The fund, Kartesia Credit Opportunities (KCO) III, is fully invested and has been succeeded by KCO IV, which closed on its hard cap of €870m in the last quarter of 2017. KCO IV is currently over 70% invested.
AltCredit Intelligence constructed a panel made up of leading institutional and private investors and investment consultants to judge these awards, with the winners chosen based on the risk-adjusted performance of the funds, plus professional knowledge brought by the panel’s experts. The judges were carefully selected based on their wealth of expertise and the absence of conflicts of interests, making these awards some of the toughest to win.
Earlier this year KCO III had received the Creditflux Best European direct lending fund 2018 award, based on similar methodology (leverage-adjusted IRR (net of fees) performance).
Damien Scaillierez, co-founder and managing partner of Kartesia, said: “We are delighted to have won an award from AltCredit Intelligence this year, in recognition of the excellent work of the direct lending team in deploying our KCO III fund. The wealth of expertise and experience on the panel means that this award represents real industry backing for our strategy and approach. We are looking forward to delivering similarly strong risk-adjusted performance with our KCO IV fund, as we seek to expand Kartesia’s specialist offering.”
