Since pioneering pan-European secondary investments in the lower mid-market space in 2009, we have continuously strived to offer investors superior performance while delivering innovative financing solutions to companies. These efforts have been paying off, and we are delighted to announce that Kartesia just received the 2016 European Lower Mid-Market Lender of the Year award from Private Debt Investor magazine. Earlier this week Creditflux, a commanding publication in the credit sector, shortlisted Kartesia Credit Opportunities III (KCO III) amongst 30 European direct lending funds for the 2017 Best European Direct Lending Fund award thanks to its best in class unlevered risk adjusted net returns.

These awards recognize Kartesia’s reliability as well as its ability to achieve a superior investment performance by providing bespoke financing solutions while favouring downside protection. We have remained true to our founding principles, which were designed to generate solid and attractive opportunities across all credit market cycles. Kartesia thus continues to grow, expanding its European network with new offices in Frankfurt and Madrid, and reinforcing its team of professionals. We recently welcomed Bérengère Hausmann, Gaëtan Valcke, Basile Gerber, Iltay Sensagir and Francisca Thompson, who have joined the Kartesia adventure.

In this issue of Insight Kartesia, you will see that Kartesia recently became one of the very first European collateralised loan obligation (CLO) investors to lead a full reset of one of its CLOs. We will also take you to Spain to catch up with High Tech Hotels’ latest news, to Brussels to the quarterly Presidents’ Meeting of the Belgian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association and to the Philippines, where we have been financing school kits for needy kids.

Happy reading.
