A new initiative for Kartesia
Kartesia launched the Kartesia for Women initiative in 2020. The objective is mainly to inspire women to join the private debt industry, especially in investment roles. As of June 15, 2021, Kartesia’s total workforce was 59 employees of which 37% are women. This ratio is by far superior to the European private debt industry average ratio (14%), according to the “Diversity Review in Corporate Credit” by Waterman Stern (2020), demonstrating Kartesia’s good performance in this area. Representation of women at Kartesia has improved over time, with 9 female hires over the last 12 months.
Through this initiative, Kartesia also aims at facilitating the sharing of insights and experience amongst female employees at Kartesia.
Note that all our employees (not only female employees) are welcome to join our quarterly calls, to brainstorm on futures initiatives such as mentoring or seminars.
It is still early stage, but everyone is really keen to progress with the Kartesia For Women and volunteer to support the initiatives. We recognize the need to attract women to Private Debt and the difference it makes.
