- The Kartesia 2018 Annual Investors Meeting will be held on November 27th in London.
- This year Kartesia’s offsite will be held between June 6th - 9th
Jaime Prieto, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Kartesia, was invited to speak at this year’s SuperReturn conference (26 February – 1 March). The annual event, held at the InterContinental Hotel in Berlin, brings together over 2,500 participants, including institutional investors, private equity and private debt fund managers.
Kartesia gave Father Christmas a little help at the end of last year to make sure that the kids at the Maison d’Enfants Reine Marie-Henriette children’s residential facility enjoyed a magical Christmas in 2017. Kartesia took the budget earmarked for its staff Christmas gifts and turned it over to La Pouponnière, which is the part of the facility that looks after very young children. This helped to pay for gifts for the 32 young residents, who found presents from their Santa lists waiting for them under the Christmas tree.
Kartesia’s 2017 Offsite Day was a little bit special. It may have taken place in the southern French village of Collioure, but there were no dips in the sea or suntan sessions. Instead, military fatigues and army boots were the order of the day. All the Kartesia team members went on a four-day course provided by St-Cyr Executive Education at a military base. Focusing on team efficiency and leadership skills, the course included simulation challenges with gradually increasing complexity, with close monitoring by an ex-military mentor.
On 15 September, the whole Kartesia team gathered at the Brussels office to kickstart the new academic year with the first-ever Kartesia Procedures Day. As the group grows – seven new people joined the team in 2017 and new offices are opening in Paris, Madrid and Frankfurt – ensuring efficient coordination across all the offices and amongst all the team members is an increasing challenge.
For its 2017 project, Belgian non-profit Dance4Children has teamed up with Caméléon, an international solidarity association with the goal of helping abused and disadvantaged children in the Philippines. To help their endeavours, Kartesia made a donation earlier this year to finance 50 school kits, which include essentials such as a backpack, notebooks and pencils.
